Meal Plan & Recipes

  • Could we skip a meal? The smoothies and the juice are very filling.
  • Does the daily meal plan need to be followed in the order specified? Can we mix it up?
  • How important are the times between eating on the menu schedule? For optimal liver healing/detox, do we need to wait 1, 2, 3 hours between food, the way it is listed in the schedule?
  • I can't get all the food in. I'm 71 years young and slow in the morning. By the time I get my smoothie done, it's already noon. Then I get a salad for lunch around 3 PM, and dinner around 7 or 8. No juice or after-dinner drink.
  • I can’t do all of the recommended foods and drinks. I’m fine with lemon water, smoothie, salad, and dinner with usually a snack of nuts or grapes, and tea at night. I don’t eat after dinner. Is this okay?
  • I made the SAM Salad for lunch, and it was absolutely delicious. As it calls for mayo, I wanted to check in and see if there was a recommended brand/type of mayo?
  • I see the Root Cause Cleanse Smoothie calls for chia seeds, but I am under the impression these need to be soaked for 8 hours before putting into the smoothie. How much water should be used to soak 1 teaspoon of chia seeds?
  • I thought the food guide was an example of how to eat during this time. I exclude soy, gluten, dairy, sugar, and caffeine, as the course says, but I do not eat according to the "schedule". Is this ok, or will I lose the benefits?
  • I thought we were only supposed to eat the recipes in the meal plan. Can you please clarify?
  • I was not able to start the program with the rest of the group. I'm afraid I have lost some of the important information. What do we eat during the day? Are there any restrictions on the menu that we need to follow?
  • Is it okay to add additional vegetables from the “approved” vegetables list, to the meals I make?
  • Is locust bean gum okay, or should we avoid it? I found organic cashew milk yogurt, but it contains this ingredient.
  • Other than taking the detox smoothie in the morning I am not clear on what to eat for the rest of the day. Should I just include what is on the list, or is there a specific menu for the first week?
  • Regarding the lunches, can I just do soups instead of salads? Unless it is the height of summer, I do much better with warm, cooked food rather than cold, raw salads.
  • Since eggs are on the shopping list, can we switch and have the smoothie at dinnertime and a healthful meal that includes eggs for breakfast?
  • What are the servings sizes for the recipes?
  • What brand of coconut milk do you recommend we use?
  • What should I do if I am still hungry after eating the specified meals in the meal plan?
  • What should I skip if this is way too much food for me?
  • With a holiday coming up, will there be any assistance in handling this food occasion? I need tricks to avoid eating all of those off-plan goodies.
