Sensitivities & Substitutions

  • After taking Rootcology Pure N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC), Rootcology Amino Support, Pure Encapsulations Silymarin (milk thistle) and Systemic Enzymes, I noticed my urine was a dark yellow/reddish brown color. What causes the change in the color of urine?
  • Are the supplements safe to take if I have histamine issues?
  • Can I cut the supplements dosing in half for a gentler detox?
  • Do I have to use Rootcology branded supplements?
  • Do you have any idea which supplements may cause gums to bleed?
  • Does camel milk count as dairy, and if somebody has a sensitivity to goat, sheep and cow's milk, will they react to camel milk?
  • Does taking too many supplements tax the liver?
  • Every night since I’ve been taking supplements and Liver Reset powder, I’ve had sulfur-smelling gas after dinner. Can you help, please?
  • Every time I take the Reset supplements I get completely congested. What should I do?
  • How do I know if I am having a reaction to one of the supplements? Example: I have a headache, how do I know if it's from a supplement or if it’s diet related?
  • How do I know if I have the CBS gene mutation?
  • I have a sensitivity to peas, so does that mean I can't take the Liver Reset powder?
  • I have been following an anti-candida diet and have been avoiding all sweeteners. I was surprised to see stevia in the magnesium citrate and the electrolyte powder. Do you know the quantities and how this works with anti-candida?
  • I have chemical sensitivities. I want to do all the supplements, but I need to introduce them one at a time to see which ingredient I react to. Most of them contain several ingredients; introducing them one at a time can be slow and expensive.
  • I have multiple conditions, so it’s hard to follow the diet. The first 4 days I had bad detox symptoms and stopped the smoothies. Now I have symptoms of magnesium deficiency, but can’t tolerate magnesium citrate. What can I do?
  • I have sulfur sensitivities, and the warnings for the program supplements say to not use them with sulfur sensitivity. What can a person do to help with detox since both pathways are needed?
  • I just received the VegeCleanse and noticed that on the back it says not to use it if you have kidney stones. I have had kidney stones in the past and wonder if this is ok for me?
  • I noticed the Liver Reset powder and Organic Pea Protein are pea based. This is something that I am sensitive to, based on the Alletess food panel that I've done. Should I still use it?
  • I see there is a warning if you have a sulfur sensitivity. I do have an anaphylactic reaction to sulfa. I did some research online and saw that sulfa and sulfur are different, but I just want to make sure.
  • I think the Rootcology Magnesium Citrate Powder is keeping me up at night. Should I take it earlier in the day?
  • I was just looking at the supplement list and there are a lot! I am one of those people who is sensitive to all kinds of supplements. Is there a way to ease into it rather than starting with everything all at once?
  • If I cannot take the supplements or do not want to take the supplements, is it realistic to expect to benefit from the program without the supplements?
  • If I try the supplements you recommend during the program, could you tell me which ingredients are most likely to cause reactions and maybe just steer clear of those for now?
  • If it takes up to 4 days for a sensitivity to manifest, wouldn't a person then blame the reaction on the wrong supplement? It would take 20 days to introduce all the supplements and by then the Reset is over.
  • I’m currently on a course of steroids. According to my doctor, I cannot take a few of the supplements. How are the steroids going to affect my liver detox?
  • I’ve heard from various sources that taking too many supplements may be taxing on the liver. I feel it’s important to give the body the additional aid if it’s needed, but don't want to cause problems by doing so. What’s your opinion on this?
  • Supplements vs alternative supplements. Are the alternative supplements 2nd choice if you cannot access the ones on the supplement list?
  • What should I do if I have a sulfur sensitivity?
  • Which herbs should not be taken by people with liver dysfunction (such as liver disease, fatty liver disease, or anything else aside from liver backlog related to Hashimoto’s)?
  • Within a week of taking LV-GB, I got eczema on my fingers. I completed the protocol months ago, but the eczema is still there and now is spreading, flaring up if I eat something I’m sensitive to. Do I have a sulfur sensitivity?
