General Questions
- Although my detox symptoms have gone from severe to mild, I haven’t started any of my supplements yet. How soon would you recommend waiting until I begin those?
- Am I supporting both phase I and phase II of detoxification with the Rootcology Liver Reset, AI Paleo Protein, Amino Support, MTHFR Pathways, Pure N-Acetyl Cysteine, and Magnesium Citrate Powder?
- Are liver support supplements ok to take if you have fatty liver disease (NAFLD)? Are they ok to take if you have had your gallbladder removed?
- Are the recommended program supplements Paleo or AIP compliant?
- Are there any supplements I could resume taking while starting the Liver Reset supplements? I’m wondering in particular about Vit. D3, K2, Selenium with Myo-Inositol, and Omega 3.
- Are we supposed to take some of the supplements together? For example, do we take the Amino Support and Liver & Gallbladder supplements at the same time, or do we space them at least an hour apart?
Liver Reset Powder
- In the Liver Support Kit, is the Liver Reset powder a protein powder or not?
- Can I have Liver Reset powder if I am sensitive to caffeine?
- Can I take over-the counter-meds? My essential oils and other natural remedies did not work.
- During Week 4, we’ll be having two smoothies a day. Do both smoothies need to include the Liver Reset powder?
- Has anyone found a way to take the Liver Reset powder separately from the smoothie? It’s truly ruining my smoothie experience. I want the benefit of the ingredients without it messing up my breakfast and now dinner smoothies.
- I cannot find the alternative equivalent for the Liver Reset. Can you help me understand what I would choose in its place?
Magnesium
- Can I add the Magnesium Citrate Powder into the detox juice that I drink nightly? My detox juice is limes, coconut water, and cilantro.
- Can I use magnesium gel?
- How do the various forms of magnesium differ?
- How much magnesium powder do I need to take?
- I am not tolerating/enjoying the Rootcology Magnesium Citrate powder! Do you have any other suggestions?
- I can’t get the Magnesium Citrate Powder to dissolve in water. What do you recommend?
N-Acetyl Cysteine
- Both days I took NAC, I started to have a headache a few hours later. I will try it one more time to see if it triggers a headache. If I have to stop, is there anything else I can replace with?
- I'm looking ahead to the supplement list and times of day/dosages to take. You recommend taking two caps of NAC with lunch. I have read, though, that NAC is best absorbed on an empty stomach. Can you specify?
- Is headache a common side effect from NAC?
- Isn’t 1800 mg of NAC a day an extremely high dose? Also why does it burn going down or is it just my experience with it?
- Should Pure N-Acetyl Cysteine be taken with meals, or in-between meals?
- Why do you recommend N-Acetyl Cysteine? How long should I take it for?
Protein Powders
- About two and a half years ago I had a sensitivity test that said I had a high sensitivity to peas. Is there an alternative detox that I can use beyond the one that is recommended, as well as the pea protein?
- Apparently, I have food sensitivities to almost everything, including pea protein.
- Could collagen powder be used in place of protein powder?
- Do I have to purchase the protein powders that are recommended in the program?
- Do we need to purchase protein powder?
- Do you recommend the Rootcology Organic Pea Protein - Vanilla for this program over the Paleo Protein, even if someone is not vegan? I worry about the pea protein, because I know the AIP diet did not allow peas, beans or legumes.
Sensitivities & Substitutions
- After taking Rootcology Pure N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC), Rootcology Amino Support, Pure Encapsulations Silymarin (milk thistle) and Systemic Enzymes, I noticed my urine was a dark yellow/reddish brown color. What causes the change in the color of urine?
- Are the supplements safe to take if I have histamine issues?
- Can I cut the supplements dosing in half for a gentler detox?
- Do I have to use Rootcology branded supplements?
- Do you have any idea which supplements may cause gums to bleed?
- Does camel milk count as dairy, and if somebody has a sensitivity to goat, sheep and cow's milk, will they react to camel milk?
Next Steps
- After the 14-day cleanse, are we supposed to continue using the chlorophyll drops?
- Can we use the supplements of the Liver Support Kit to detox on a periodical basis? If yes, what’s the recommended frequency and minimum interval from the previous application?
- How long can the Reset supplements be used for?
- I’m thinking my diet will continue to be dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, etc. But I’m wondering if it’s ok to continue eating two viactiv chews for calcium and vitamin D daily, as the back label says: contains MILK AND SOY.
- What can I do to support my bile after the Reset? I had to have my gallbladder removed.
- Where do I find the list of supplements I can continue to take long term?
Other Supplements
- Are digestive enzymes necessary during this program?
- Are the following okay to take long term for Hashimoto's: Selenium, Vitamins D and E, B-complex, Omega 3, CoQ-10, glutathione, zinc, magnesium citrate, lysine, milk thistle, folacin, green tea extract, and artichoke leaf extract?
- Are we supposed to be taking a multivitamin while doing the Reset?
- Can Carnitine Blend be taken during our Root Cause Reset? I ordered some in addition to the Liver Support bundle. If it’s best to start taking it after the Reset, that’s fine with me.
- Can I combine the ATP supplements with the Liver Support supplements? ATP supplements are recommended to be taken for 3 months - 2 years, and if I also want to do Liver Support supplements, it seems like a lot to take at once.
- Can I continue taking all the other supplements that I’ve been taking while following the Reset, or do you recommend that I just take the supplements you suggest?
