Medications

  • I have an earache and am thinking of going to the doctor to see what it is. If antibiotics are prescribed can I take them during this Reset? Is there an alternative method to getting rid of my earache without antibiotics?
  • Are antibiotics okay to take during the program? I will have to go on antibiotics for an infection.
  • Does Levothyroxine contain gluten? I recently read that it does. If that is true, could my medicine keep me sick?
  • Has anyone completely gotten off thyroid meds with Hashimoto’s?
  • How do you know if you can reduce your meds? Do your levels of T3 and T4 have to be too high?
  • How does one know if they need to add T3? Could we just use a large dose of levothyroxine?
  • I am currently on Synthroid. My naturopath wants to give me a compounded combo of T4/T3 because of my poor conversion rate. I plan to do the Root Cause Reset to see if my conversion rate gets better. Is there a supplement that can aid this?
  • I am on blood thinners. What supplements should I not take?
  • I am over-medicated, and the doctor has said several times that I should lower my dose, but when I do, brain fog and fatigue come back. How do I lower my medicine in the best way?
  • I cannot take NSAIDS because I'm on a blood thinner. I have osteoarthritis and take Tylenol for arthritis. During the program, would you recommend I just push through the pain? Should I contact my doctor to get something else?
  • I received my blood test results and my TSH dropped from 2.86 to 2.29, but my T4 and T3 remain the same. My naturopath has two solutions: a compounded T4/T3 Synthroid or a compound T4 with a supplement of Selenium.
  • I recently started taking 3 mg/daily of LDN. I've been sleeping soundly, but when I try taking 4 mg, I don't sleep well. Can I expect to see improvements at 3 mg? I've been gluten-free and dairy-free for years. I eat and live cleanly.
  • I take Liothyronine and L-Thyroxine both in the morning and at night. Usually, I have to forgo the Magnesium because of the 4-hour window. May I have it at lunch? Also, is there a best time for LDN?
  • I take Naltrexone at night before bed. How much earlier should I take Magnesium Glycinate.
  • If I'm having a hard time tolerating thyroid medications. What are my options besides medications?
  • I’ve come down with a dreadful head cold and cough. Is it wise to continue with the supplements? Which is the best cough linctus to take on this protocol for a dry cough?
  • Last week, my endocrinologist said my "numbers" were fine, but because I feel fatigued he increased the Cytomel. It made me dizzy and even more fatigued. Can increasing T3 meds with crashed adrenals make things worse?
  • My doctor says that my TSH and T4 levels don't matter, and that's okay since the T3 is all that's going into the cell and making the difference in my health. Is this true, or should I be concerned?
  • Nitrous oxide is sometimes used for pain relief for women in labor. In one of the videos, I saw that women with Hashimoto's can react poorly to this drug. Could you please elaborate on this and explain why?
